CD version:

• No installation is necessary. You can run GW directly from the CD.
• You can also copy GW to your hard drive. This will make GW start and run faster
• ensure you have enough free space (about 200MB)
• make a new folder on your hard drive (do not copy GW into an existing folder)
• if the computer is shared, avoid using the desktop; create the new folder within C:
• name the new folder GW or a name you will remember
• copy the whole contents of the CD to the folder. Do not change GW's folder structures.

Download version:

• You may have downloaded GW as a zip (compressed) file. This must be unzipped (decompressed so that all the files are reconstituted) before you can run GW
• Windows may be able to unzip the file. Alternatively, you can download a free zip utility from www.7-zip.org or www.winzip.com
• Before you unzip GW you should prepare a folder to contain all the files
• make a new folder on your hard drive. Do not unzip GW into an existing folder
• if the computer is shared, avoid using the desktop; create the new folder within C:
• name the new folder GW or a name you will remember
• Unzip the whole contents of the CD into the new folder. Do not change GW's folder structures
• Some zip utilities allow you to create a new folder at the same time as unzipping.
